Wonderful weekend market filled with stalls selling choice fresh goods. An island of calm in a very busy Amsterdam! Highly recommend the Oishi Buns - many different flavours including vegetarian options. We have the vegetarian one and the Peking Duck with cabbage. Freshly made and piping hot! Free entry.

Currently, there is a nice exhibition about Rembrand and other painters at the same time. It is very nicely arranged and the atmosphere of the Hermitage Amsterdam is really great. The story of the exhibition was great and interesting. I really liked that they added videos giving a more indepth explanation of some paintings. They accept museum card. Parking is difficult close to the museum.

The other exhibit showed the modern arts. Worth visiting

I just visited the Rembrandt and contemporary collection, but it was incredibly beautiful. There is a free audio guide but it doesn't talk about the exposition (in the English version), so I didn't find it very useful.
There is also a small market on Saturdays! They are very nice.

Fun and very interesting museum definitely recommend if you visit Amsterdam. The aesthetic of the museum went good with the paintings and the whole place was very artistic. The audio guide was my favourite part, always fun and interesting to listen.If you go after lunch I recommend buying your tickets in advance because there’s always a long line in the afternoon.

At Hermitage Amsterdam I had a unique opportunity to see some of the the most significant paintings from the 17th century created by Dutch artists, in a wonderful selection from the Kaplan private art collection (Leiden collection). It was an amazing experience!

This museum had a smaller permanent collection on display than others in Amsterdam. It was really only one room. They did have audio guides that let you hear about many of the major works. In addition to the permanent collection, they did have a temporary exhibit as well. When we were there it was about justice and equality. We finished with the permanent collection in under 45 minutes. We were done with the whole museum after about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The entrance is actually a little hard to find. You can enter on the canal side or on the side street. But you need to make your way into a courtyard.
