My experience at The Seafood Bar was absolutely delightful. The restaurant has a welcoming ambiance with a beautiful coastal theme that sets the perfect mood for a seafood dining experience. The service was impeccable, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.

As a seafood lover, I was impressed with the wide variety of fresh and high-quality seafood dishes they offer. The oysters were perfectly shucked and tasted incredibly fresh. The shrimp cocktail was also outstanding, and the lobster bisque was rich and flavorful.

The main courses were equally outstanding. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection, and the seafood platter was a real treat with its generous portions and diverse selection of delicacies from the sea. The presentation of each dish was visually appealing, and the flavors were on point.

To top it off, the dessert selection was impressive. I couldn't resist trying the key lime pie, and it was the perfect sweet ending to my meal.

Overall, The Seafood Bar is a top-notch seafood restaurant that I would highly recommend to any seafood enthusiast. I had a wonderful dining experience, and I will definitely be returning to savor more of their delicious seafood offerings.

This is a lovely restaurant located in Amsterdam. The location, service, and amazing food make it an excellent choice for a nice dinner. I’ve never had seafood cooked to perfection with every bite. Who knew cod could be so much more delicious with every taste? The pumpkin accompaniment was a delightful surprise. The seafood tiers are a must! If you get Nicola as your server, then it’s even more perfect.

Had the mixed grill seafood platter. It was to die for!! The bread and garlic butter was delicious as was the calamari. Alexandra our waitress was really friendly and and helpful, she made experience even better. Thank you!

Great and fresh seafood, I recommend to do reservation before visiting it is full booked
My wife and I had dinner and we tried the lobster soup was good and the mixed grill for the two and the staff where flexible to change some items in the order, they also understood the gluten free concept. They have a simple decoration and the place is a bite noisy. Worth trying if you love seafood ????

A super popular and busy restaurant. We had the fortune of sitting outside. Wide selection of drinks and food menu. Hard time deciding. Everything tasted so good.
Our server Furkan was super friendly and helpful. Even gave us sightseeing recommendations.
Highly recommended. Make sure to make reservations ahead.

The best seafood I ever had, quite nice variety of options. We order mix grill platter for two and trust me when i ask it was enough for two person. The platter had shrimps, lobster, fish, mussel, octopus, prawns and squid.
The desert was good alomg with their drinks.

I visited The Seafood Bar on 24-May 2023 with high expectations, mainly due to its impressive Google reviews score of 4.6. However, I left the restaurant feeling a bit disappointed and unconvinced that it truly deserved such a high rating.

I opted for the Mixed Grill with half lobster, a dish that promised a delightful combination of shrimp, squid, plaice, salmon, king prawn, and sea bass fillet, accompanied by mussels in tomato sauce. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The prawn was noticeably overcooked, resulting in a less-than-ideal texture, and some of the mussels lacked freshness. The overall taste of the dish was merely average, failing to impress.

Furthermore, it's worth noting that if you visit this restaurant without a prior reservation, be prepared to endure a wait of around 45 minutes during weekdays. This may inconvenience those seeking a quick and hassle-free dining experience.

Considering my experience, I find it difficult to justify the restaurant's high rating of 4.6 stars on Google. In my opinion, a more reasonable rating would be in the range of 3.5 to 4 stars. The Seafood Bar has some room for improvement when it comes to consistency in preparing seafood dishes, particularly when it comes to avoiding overcooking and ensuring the freshness of ingredients.

While it's possible that others may have had better experiences or different menu choices at The Seafood Bar, based on my visit, I would cautiously recommend this restaurant to seafood enthusiasts, with the understanding that it may not live up to the exceptionally high expectations set by its online reputation.

Went to The Seafood Bar on my last night in Amsterdam, and wish I had gone on the first night, because i would have gone again. It is a beautiful restaurant with a great hostess who greeted us upon arrival. We were quickly seated and greeted by our waitress, Kitti, who continued to take great care of us throughout our meal. I had the pumpkin ravioli in a sage butter sauce. My travel friend had the salmon with roasted carrots. We also had crab cakes for a starter. We shared all of dishes and did not leave anything behind. Neither of us ever clear our plates, but we certainly did on this visit. Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection.

Please don't miss out on this special treasure if you are in Amsterdam. BUT DO MAKE A RESERVATION.

Thank you to Kitti, the servers who delivered our drinks and food, the chefs who prepared our meals, and the great hostess for making our last meal in Amsterdam so very special.
