Had a very nice lunch here yesterday with a dear friend. We came on the right time because it was not yet too busy. The restaurant is clean, the staffs were super friendly and polite. A very good asian restaurant in the center of DenHaag. The dim sum are the best, amazing and delicious. The fried rice was very good, simple made, full of taste. So as the roasted duck. The food were quickly served. Surely we will be back because it was very good.

5 stars for the foods and drinks. Minus stars for the service from the old lady and 5 stars from the young lady, so 3 stars in average. Doesn’t speak English or Dutch is not a reason to walk away in the middle of a conversation. Haven’t finished choosing the menu when she went off brought the wrong order and upset when I said we didn’t order it (because she didn’t bother to listen to our order) As soon as she left when I was still speaking I walked to a younger waiter and she apologized for the older’s behavior. She then took over the service afterwards (thank God!) foods were delicious and portion is reasonable for the price paid. I particularly enjoyed the duck and jelly fish salad but the duck meat was scarce

We had a good lunch experience here on a weekday! We were seated quickly at a table of our choice even though we did not make any reservations. The chinese food was really good and i'd recommend this restaurant! Attached are photos of the dishes we liked.

Located on 2nd floor with elevator access. Authentic Cantonese Cuisine, still very traditional in taste. For me, the food is average as we are now eating much more refined and modern chinese cuisine in Asia.

Craving for Chinese meal? This is probably as authentic as it gets in The Hague. Hong Kong chefs. Staff are polite but not overly friendly but who cares when the food is so good. Beef horfun is tops! Char siew not bad too.

There is one particular waitress who is really rude. We arrived at noon when they just opened. The room is all empty. We wanted to choose which table to sit. The waitress said: if there is no reservation you are not able to choose. We have to keep the good tables to the ones with reservation. We were really surprised because the room is still empty and we don’t think when people reserve they ever specify any table numbers. But fine, we accepted.
However, during the dining time, that particular waitress always served without any expression and with a cold face.
The food and all other people are nice though. But the whole experience was really unpleasant.

For the longest time we were looking for a dim sum place and a colleague of ours recommended full moon and with good reason! It did not disappoint by far one of the best vest dim sum places I have ever tried in the netherlands. It’s best if you come with more people as we did cuz then you can choose more dishes and share. I absolutely recommend it!

Came here again in April 2023. Quality of the dim sum was not as great as last time we came here (review below)
Most of the steamed dim sum was dry (shrimp dumpling, siu mai) and the stir fry beef with noodle was not tasty at all. The turnip cake with xo sauce was probably the only dish that was good.
Degraded from 4 to 3 stars. Gonna try some place else next time.

According to the Chinese grapevine, a lot of people like Full Moon City In the Hague so we decided to give it a try.
First off, the food was a four star. The portions are good, presentation is good, the taste was overall nice but a tiny bit bland for some dishes. Especially the dishes that had rice noodle in it. The shrimp in the "ha kau" was tasty but would have been better with some bamboo shoots in it. The siu mai with chicken and truffle was delicious! The stir fry rice noodle with beef was nice but was missing what we in Cantonese would call "wok air". The steamed buns were nice as well, although the lotus paste bun had more "bun" than filling. We ordered swiftly upon sitting down and the food came very quickly.

Regarding the staff and restaurant setting, Full Moon City gets 2-3 star rating. There is little space between the tables and even the staff had to maneuver through them. The staff was not friendly and some of them looked as if (what we could say in Cantonese) the whole world owed them money. It's not any different if we go for dim sum in Hong Kong but I still get annoyed by it...

The tea cost 2,95 per person according to the bill, although they charged us as 1 person even though there were 3 of us.
It's important to note that they charge 50 cent for their environment friendly take away boxes (per piece) and 10 ct for a plastic bag. So be aware of that when you decide to keep the leftovers.
We used only 2 of 3 take away boxes we initially asked for and decided to use our own bag instead of theirs. We made it clear to the waitress when she came with the bill. Despite that we still needed to ask her to adjust the bill and deduct the unused box and bag.
