For someone generally grounded in the empirical world of sciences, the introduction to Escher's work was refreshingly diverse. He has a unique ability to engage minds that primarily lean toward logic.

He turns mathematical concepts, such as tessellation, infinity, symmetry, and hyperbolic geometry, into a visual narrative that can be appreciated beyond scientific discourse.

His technique is consistently thoughtful and precise; each piece displays an intricate, impossible reality depicting paradoxical spaces and infinite loops, pushing the boundaries of the viewer's understanding of the interplay of space, shape, and form.

What an amazing museum to visit. Small, simple, easy to follow, great guidance, friendly staff and amazing art work. One of the greatest painters in my opinion, paintings with expression and food for thought.
The museum itself is a palace and this makes it even more extraordinary to visit. The price is €11,50 for adults and cheaper for youth and children.
I would recommend to buy your tickets in advance as there may be a half hour of waiting line outside the museum.

Museum where the works of Escher are displayed. There are a lot of metamorphic tiling art, which is quite interesting as it is different than your average art museum. The place was a former palace used by royalty. The museum is quite small and you still need to enter the queue to validate your tickets even if you have bought your tickets online.

3-story museum dedicated to Maurits Cornelis Escher. Housed in the extravagant residence of Queen Emma. Enjoy the chandeliers, hallways, curtains as you browse Escher’s wood prints. See his famous works such as Day and Night, Outer World, and Drawing Hands. The top floor contains optical illusions, including a €5/photo distorted room. Spend 1-2 hours here.

Escher's wonderful work in a historical setting, so it is definitely worth checking out! It is rather small and the place is kinda squeeky so advise to go early so it won't be too busy and cramped up together. Also, get the tickets online in advance, you just need to show the QR code at reception ????????

This is one of the best museums I have ever been to. There is an abundance of information on the life of MC Escher and his teacher Samuel Jessurun de Mesquita. This museum tells a beautiful and heartbreaking story of mentorship and life. I highly recommend this museum. The staff are also incredibly kind and helpful.

Great museum tracing the life of the artist Escher. The works are exhibited in a magnificent setting, former palace of Dutch royalty, each room allows us to feel in a gallery.

Wonderful exhibit in the Escher year - the works of this genius Dutch artist cannot be described. You must see them yourself! Also, the Paleis is a great architectural piece, Queen Anne's winter residence and a work of art in itself! Not to be missed!
