A beautiful museum. You’ve got student, senior and youth discounts so make sure to check it out. The register lady was kind. It wasn’t too crowded when we went (a weekday somewhere in September). I do feel like I have missed an exhibition or sth since there are no directions or any arrows to follow. Very picturesque (see pictures below).

A most stunningly attractive museum! The architecture, the art on show - all excellent. Thank you for a few hours of smiles; until 1973 I lived in The Hague and visited with my parents.

Kunstmuseum is a combination of art and playfulness. On -1 you will find the children's sections which is amazing for any age and the ground and first floor have everything else that you would like to see.
The price for this museum is €17 and I would totally recommend to anyone to book the tickets in advance as you may have to wait even for half and hour.
I found this museum a bit weird when it comes to which round to follow in order to see everything with a convenience. There were no arrows to follow and I found it a bit confusing. Some people may find it nice not to have directions as it is free space.
I am sure that there are things which I have missed because of that.
The staff are friendly and helpful and all in all it is worth visiting both with and without children!

Wonderful building and really interesting art - famous artists placed next to less known painters really shows the amazing skill of those who never became truly household names. Some beautiful pieces and some disturbing - very thought provoking!

The museum's extensive collection of Dutch and international art spans from the 17th century to contemporary works, offering visitors a rich and diverse cultural experience. One of the highlights of the museum is its collection of works by Piet Mondriaan, one of the most celebrated Dutch artists of the 20th century. The museum offers also an impressive selection of art from a wide range of artists and movements. From the Dutch Golden Age to contemporary works, the museum's collection is thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed. Personally I enjoy the architecture of this museum a lot. The building has undergone several renovations over the years, with the most recent one completed in 2021 by the Dutch architects KAAN Architecten. One of the most impressive features of the renovated museum is the new entrance hall, which has been transformed into a light-filled atrium with a soaring glass ceiling. This space provides a stunning introduction to the museum.

Great museum!
I got confused with the doors of the galleries. It’s part of the experience I guess.

Great coffee shop and good food

Mondrian, Monet, constant…. Just amazing artists.

A must.

This modern art museum has a large variety of dutch modern art including Mondriaan and MCE. Make sure to download the app before you go in as it provides a lot of rich information.

The art museum has a restaurant in the middle which provides coffee, tea, juice and some light meals including sandwishes. The toileta are generally well maintained and clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and bilingual.

At the bottom is an amazing section for kids to have an interactive experience and learn more about the various exhibitions and art in general. You might want to allow a good hour for this though as there is a lot of moving around, dancing and running from one room to the next.

As for the main exhibits it is really well displayed. The MCE exhibitions specifically is amazing as the displays transports you into the world of shapes, dimensions, lines and spaces.

This is a must see option to provide you with a good balance after viewing various of the other older Dutch paintings and art.
