The location is unique and interesting, close to the Markthall and Blaak train/metro station. However, only 2 lockers in a room for 7 people was a disappointment. They do have lockers near the reception, but it makes no sense to keep your stuff not in the room where you need them. Breakfast is free and okay, classic continental. Pretty clean, even though the smell is weird in the hallways. Friendly and helpful staff.

The manager is super helpful to help us book another hotel nearby at higher cost to him due to unforeseen issue of room availablility. It is a pity we could not stay in this iconic hotel but we really enjoyed our time in Rotterdam thanks to him.

Interesting place, decent breakfast and good rooms, but unfortunately unbearably hot in summer. The rooms have aircons, but many are broken. The windows mostly don't open, meaning that the air inside is unbreathable if you're unlucky enough to get a room with a broken aircon. They provide fans, but when it's sunny at 30°C all day and the windows don't open, then those fans are pretty useless.

Amazing stay at a unique location for a very low price.

I had way to spicy food the night before my stay and my stomach was killing me the day after. The nice lady at the reception gave me extra yogurt to help with my stomach even though breakfast was already closed.

Saved my day. Thank you kind yogurt lady!

Had an amazing stay

the staff was very very nice, open and friendly, no problems or anything whatsoever even if my class colleagues on this trip were quite... well, not calm.
Shoutout to the man working the night shift who told me to listen to Dopethrone and had a great metal talk!! it was my last night staying there and he made it very memorable.

The hostel is perfectly located in the city, the centre isnt too far away even by foot, theres lots of stores nearby and a kind of mall(?) that consists mostly of food courts just behind the hostel.

The rooms were quite comfy, some might say they're cramped but i loved mine, simplistic. 1st floor, a 6 people room, to be exact if it helps

The food is quite good as well, i couldnt wait for the "restaurant" to open so i could eat what was prepared there. The coffees are amazing.

p.s. it would melt my heart if the man i was talking about would reply to this comment:) electric wizard goes hard????????

Great if you are looking for something fast and easy but a bit expensive for the rooms you get and showers aren’t very easy to use since you have to keep pressing the button to get water.

Very satisfying experience because the place is an attraction itself so it was pretty cool to stay there overnight. I liked that each dorm has its own bathrooms and genders are separated. Felt very "hotel-like" with the door locks and elevator. Breakfast is fulfilling as well, great terrace and outside view.
The only downside is the Wifi, it really was awful, and improvements on this are needed.

Stayed in their room with four beds with attached wc and shower. It was small and oddly arranged (due to the space constraints) but for the price, there is not much to complaint about. You will have to lay the bedsheet, duvet cover and pillow case provided and they have to be put in the pillow case upon check-out. It was noisy at night as our window was above a public passageway. The wc experience was shocking at first as the light will turn off if you are not moving (motion detection sensor). Shower is using push button self closing timed shower valve so one have to push the valve many times during the course of your shower. Towels is not included. Location is OK and breakfast was basic. Overall still an OK experience. I have seen worst.
