Nice beer in the oldest bar in Rotterdam

What a lovely place, the staff were friendly and the food was good. I popped in for a small beer and landed having lunch, spend the good part of 2 hours people watching, I needed a cappuccino to help with the beers and got this which was tasty, it's a caremal shot with cream and a mini stroffal waffle.

This is a great bar/restaurant to visit while in Rotterdam. Highly recommend this "traditional dutch pub." Even when it's extremely busy, the people working there keep you highly entertained and make sure you are receiving excellent service. The food is great, especially the Melief Burger and the Irish coffee is also excellent there!

The oldest bar in Rotterdam and that says a lot on it's own! The personnel still works for the guests instead of working for the bar. They give you the most warm welcome I've ever had in a bar. And the bites they serve..oh my, they're from heaven. If you're in the city center and want a really nice drink, definitely go to Melief Bender!
