The food was fresh and tasty but the place was very crowded and very loud (too many tables for a tiny space, the tables were almost touching each other). The place is a deal to order many bites and eat different dishes to share with others. The portions are quite small so you need to order a few things if you are hungry. The French oysters were very good. Although the place was busy, the service was quick and very friendly.

I have been several times here. The food is good, however, the quality, the portion size and even the taste are different every time (for the same dish). The main hostess is not always very polite, while the rest of the staff are very friendly.
Portions are on the smaller side for the prices we are paying. Very loud inside. Tables are too close to each other inside and outside.

Slip of the tongue was delicious! Razor clams were not my taste and the squid was so-so. The place itself is charming and the staff is very friendly and hospitable.

Oysters were superb. Kids loved the smelt and razor clams. Ravioli and gyoza were ok

Very good fish-based lunch.

We had a portion of smelt and a seabream baked with butter. All the fish was fresh and delicate, not too salty or greasy.
The service and the atmosphere were also very nice.

Really recommended to have a proper fish meal in the city centre of Utrecht

Perfectly cooked and seasoned fish. I'm still dreaming about the tuna tartare, the smoked eel toast and the dorade, can't wait to go back!

Visit this place as part of a recommendation from a friend. We (2 person) came on a Monday evening and there's still plenty of spaces left. Looking at the menu, it seems that all the food here is meant to be for sharing. As recommended by the waitress, we started with ordering a few small dishes: squid, smoked eel, and the razor clams. After eating these small dishes, we were barely filled, so we went on to order a seabass and a lobster, and extra bread. The bill was around 90euros in the end.
My verdict on the food: They arent extraordinary by any means, but the ingredients are very fresh. The flavors and preparation tend to be quite simple but good (i guess to show off the freshness of the ingredients). My favorites are probably the seabass and squid. My gf likes the razor clams very much. We would come again and I can recommend this place if you are a seafood lover! ????

Great service as the staff and friendly and also knowledgeable about the oysters. Was very happy to finally find a place that sells Irish oysters here in Utrecht. Also tried the sardines which were great and the warm bread they serve was amazing. Looking forward to coming here again to try more things on their menu!

Update: tried their menu and I am in love!!! Be sure to ask for the catch of the day. But we really enjoyed the scallops and the lobster. Wine bottles are on the pricier side (€40 per bottle) but really worth coming for a celebration.
