Came to play Pinball - all their machines played well! (And so did I LOL) 1 Euro per game. Enjoyed a good cold beer and had nice conversations with the staff that were all very friendly to me. Didn’t eat but the food I saw served looked pretty good. Nice place in general with a lot to offer.

The prices are totally different from the online menu. Burger costs 25 and they charged us 11euro per 500ml of the house beer... They are just playing high class hip restaurant that robs you if you're not dutch. that simple, never again.

Well barbecued food, fresh beer. Laid back atmosphere. Kids enjoyed the arcade. Recommended.

Yesterday afternoon I visited the terrace of de Bierkantine and my experience was amazing! Our server Chris cleared the best table in the sun for us and told us about the new beers on tap. All his recommendations were amazing, great service! After moving inside because the sun set, we played at the arcade and ordered burgers! Wow! Best burgers in town and perfect after drinking beer in the sun. What an afternoon! A great experience, and will have to come again soon :)

They have an enormous and very good beer selection! The food was pretty good, just do not be the vegetarian in a group of meat eaters. You’ll feel underserved and will have to pay live on bread and fries. Good fries though. Others were enthusiastic about the meat, good for them.
The prices are too high for too little. Oh, and going from starter to main takes a very, very very long time. Bring a book ;-) and do not ask the waiters about it, they will diverge or ignore the question, and be grumpy while doing so.

Food & beers are good, most of the staff are very helpful, fast and friendly but I will not come back because of the attitude of the manager (the bold guy).
I went to the Bierkantine 3 times and every time he was extremely rude to everybody.
As of now I will enjoy my craft beers in other Utrecht bars like belgie cafe, taphuys or the newly open Frontaal little bar (more taps, good food, and no rude staff)

A great place for some drinks and food. They have a great selection of beers and knowledge to help you pick the right one for you. For food they offer a great variety. You can go for classics like bitterballen plain, but there are plenty less common bar foods like ribs with Korean sauce, softshell shrimp of pulled pork. Most of the staff is very friendly, but there are definitely some members of staff that maybe shouldn't work in the service industry. This can detract a bit from the experience, but in my personal experience not that much.
