We have done a lot of traveling. When you get hot food it is the best. They do a great job bringing the food out hot and staying hot. They put big warmed metal plates to put the food on. Then they bring out warmed dishes for your food. The service is incredible and quick. We were able to get in and out I. Less than an hour with drinks, appetizers and food for six people. Top it all off, the food is delicious. Well done!

Delicious flavors! Super nice owners. They care about the quality of their food and you can tell. Best samosas I’ve eaten. Would absolutely eat here again!

Best curry I've ever eaten. I ate dinner there together with my wife, we had chicken tandoori and chicken curry and both were delicious. Lots of gluten-free options. Highly qualified and helpful staff. Excellent value for money!

If you are visiting Anne Frank house this place is nearby ! The food is wonderful and they adjust the food to your spice flavour if you ask them to. There are several vegetarian and non vegetarian options, the service is warm and friendly. It is a little cramped no doubt but it has an indian welcoming vibe. If you are looking for authentic desi food then go for it. Definitely recommended.
My daughter thought this restaurant was exceptional ???? as the dining mats had lots of facts about India and the Indian map, which we enjoyed playing quiz with

The food here is delicious! We ordered the samosas, the chicken tikka masala, the butter chicken, and the naan. Rice and a plate of veggies came with our dishes. If we had to choose a favorite between the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala, we would choose the butter chicken. Originally we were thinking about sharing a plate for the two of us but I’m glad we ordered two entrees. Great customer service as well. This was my favorite meal during our 4-night stay in Amsterdam.

If you want an authentic Indian dinner you won’t be disappointed. I went there 3 times and it was always an amazing experience, the food is delicious and very authentic. Service is also really great and we were lucky to learn some very interesting stories about India with our host.

This was our second time at Koh-I-Noor, and the first time at their Westermarkt restaurant.

The food was (again) excellent and the staff was very friendly. I like that the staff recommend portion sizes relative to the customer’s group size, so we do not over-order and thus prevent spillage!

There actually is not a dish that I would not recommend, because everything is so unique in taste and meticulously seasoned, they are all so delicious. And I have had my fair share in Indian food in my life.

I love that they give papadums on the house as a pre-starter. The waiter also checked in on us at the end of our meal whether we would like to have Indian chai. Very kind indeed.

The briyanis (veg and non-veg) taste very nice and are well-enough portioned to fill everyone. The naan (we ordered garlic) are also so crunchy and soft at the same time. We ordered masala paneer, where the paneer was nice and soft and very well-seasoned. We ordered chicken vindaloo which was also very nice to taste. For “dessert” we ordered mango lassis, which were very full and rich in taste, and not too sweet. All in all a delicious meal!

The only point of feedback I would give is: please ask every customer how spicy they would like their food. I saw the waiters asking other people how spicy they would like their food, only with us he forgot to ask, I presume. And we like our food very spicy, so that was the only thing we missed unfortunately (especially in the chicken vindaloo). Nevertheless, luckily, the taste of every dish was so nice that we did not have to miss the spiciness too much.

There are a few Indian restaurants in the Netherlands that are this good, and there is a reason Koh-I-Noor is in the top of these restaurants. We do not live in Amsterdam, but we will definitely keep coming back here, as it is well-worth the trip!
