This place is really unique in balancing the powers keeping the universe together. While the practitioners and GPs deserve there more than 5 stars for their excellent work, understanding and tending to clients wishes the assistants are taken from completely different world where customer service is an undefined position in a dictionary.
Making an appointment is virtually (and physically) close to impossible - phones are reachable within a certain timeslot strictly in the morning (nice if you have sleeping issues or work night shifts!) and you still wait in line for 30+ minutes while being reminded of being able to ‘arrange everything online’ (making an appointment with practitioner was never possible since corona). Even if you walk in to the clinic and ask to make an appointment you hear that’s not possible from the assistant. Funny enough they are not afraid to show their priorities as when asking about paying the no-show fee (guilty!) the same lady informed me ‘that first no show is not charged. And I say it with regret’. So yeah better show up with a thick wallet if you want to have something arranged via the assistants or hire your own assistant to be stuck on a phone for you! Otherwise embrace yourself for an unforgettable experience which will most likely render you a bad name for Dutch healthcare system.

Ps: yes it is summer period but chronic illnesses don’t take holidays
Ps2: yes we have employee shortage but maybe it’s something off with your organization as before fusing De Ring and International into one building there used to be more assistants on site at International alone that what it is normally at De Ring. Other practices seem to be able to have enough assistants to at least not make people waste their times.
PS3: no I won’t file an internal complain, all sufficient information is already here.

Very unplesant experience, I have just left the place. Receptionists so rude and mean, not helpfull at all. Instead of taking care of patients checking theirs phones. It is definitely not what health services should look like.

Staff on the phone need a serious reality check. If you choose to be in healthcare, treat those calling with compassion. On a serious note though, don't be an international facility if you’re going to treat vulnerable internationals like complete garbage.

Can't even make an appointment to go to the doctor. I just give up on trying to schedule a visit with them. And even when you manage to get in touch with somebody, they don't take your complains seriously.

Very unprofessional service. Always need to wait for your scheduled appointment for 10-15 mins and once you are let for 5 minutes (with in your allocated time slot) then your appointment will be gone. Not even listen your points. Very disappointed.

The doctors are good, but the organization and support staff is really bad. I’ve had several appointments made where the Dr. doesn’t know I’m coming and I have to go home.
Also the staff that works in the phone is very rude, they constantly doubt us when we are explaining a symptom and go out of their way actually not to help (even hang the phone in our face).

I am revising my comment after almost 1 year.
I have seen 2 different GPs here and they are both really good 10/10. However, the center is still the same. You can't get appointment from online, when you call, nobody is answering. It is the worse appointment system ever.

--------

I am newly registered there (I wish I'd read the comments here), they said me that I can get appointments through their system ant it gives error to me. I've sent emails and could not get any response. I am calling them, it says press X to be called back and when you press, automatic recording says that it is full so it is not possible. When I press the other number to wait on the line, it says the same thing and closes the phone. I cannot get appointment and I cannot reach them in any way.

Been visited recently at SGE and diagnosed with Herpes Zoster by one of the doctors. Pomade was the only suggestion given at that time. I called the day after complaining about the spreading of the infection, the unbearable pains I was experiencing, and the raising fever. I literally begged the person answering the phone to process the prescription of an antiviral, which is absolutely FUNDAMENTAL for treating this infection and aspiring to a more contained spread + shorter duration of it. Any doctor would direct you to take antivirals, and this is explained also in official sources from the Dutch government by the way, where it is clarified that a strict therapy of three weeks with punctual interval of times between tablets must be followed. Without any mercy, the person at SGE insisted that the antiviral was not necessary and that I should just let time pass, of course recommending to take paracetamol, the cure of all the badness. In the end I had to ask a prescription to my doctor in Italy and the medicine was urgently sent via post by my family.

I am not a person who relies on medicine easily, but the system here is a JOKE. It is from my bed with terrible pains all over my body that I shout: YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, to say the least.
