Huge DIY store. The prices are mostly very competitive (not always, but they have a lowest price guarantee, so you should be able to get money back if you find cheaper elsewhere.) The selection of products on offer is very large compared to other brick-and-mortar stores, especially in terms of more exotic types of fasteners, plumbing, electrics, consumables for tools, gardening implements, etc., It is very nice to be able to see and touch things you would otherwise need to order online before you buy them. It also has a large section for pets.

Hornbach is amazing. They sell their tools at very competitive prices, and have a HUGE stock of products which hardly compares to anyone else in the market. On top of that the staff that works there is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. You can relax knowing your purchase is of quality when coming here, and also find space in the big parking lot

Finally managed to stop by at this new Hornbach location to check their offerings and prices. Huge parking lot. Easy access from the A35 highway. Lots of staff waking around inside but still hard to find someone when you have a question to ask. Staff is very friendly though but not too familiar with their own products. Bauhaus is definitely better at this. Prices are a little lower than Bauhaus. Some of their items are (much) cheaper elsewhere. They guarantee the lowest price, even competing with webshops located in The Netherlands (chamber of commerce registration is required) and will match the lowest price you can find minus 10 procent even. It does take a lot of patience and quite some effort to find the right staff member and go through the lengthy process to get the paperwork for the lower price. Took me 45 minutes to get through it. And beware at the cash register because in my case they wanted to charge me both the normal price and the discounted price together instead of just the discounted price. Let's keep this at new store, new staff, have to find their way around still. Will check them out more often.

Great selection at reasonable prices. Staff really need more training. Took 3 staff to get an answer. In store reasturant is great value and very tasty

A vast DIY centre where you can find nearly all you need to start & complete your DIY work. Helpful & friendly staff which take the time to help & explain all you need to know about what you are looking for and how it works.
