Lovely park in a beautiful forest setting. The drive there is lovely as well, don't take the highway, take the N-numbered-routes! In the park many areas where monkeys just walk among the people. Don't need to plan for a whole day, doable in about 4 hours (cheaper tickets from 2:00pm available).

There is a lot of walking, but the children have an incredible joy to see the monkeys so close. In the center of the zoo there is also a huge playground for children, where you can easily spend an extra hour. The best way to see many species of monkeys, which have been created in conditions close to natural. A place worth spending every euro.

A great day out for all the family. Walk around the well marked route ( good access for wheelchair and people with walking disabilities), and mingle with the many free running monkeys (more than 30 different types to find). Make sure you find the time to visit the three shows ( all in Dutch, but the staff speak English and are willing to answer any questions). Unfortunately we found the food on offer at the restaurant! to be very expensive and not very nice ( when we visit again, we will take our own food with) large parking area, cost between €10 and €11. (bus stop on main road near to parking area)Approx 10 minutes walk from carpark to the entrance.

One of the best Zoo's in the Netherlands, big areas for the monkeys to freely walk around. Love it!

Looks well-maintained and exciting for kids. It takes about 10 minutes of walking from the parking lot to Apenheul's entrance. You walk through a beautiful park. Apenheul itself was busy, but less busy than I expected during summer holidays. There are lots of species and the animals seem to be doing OK from uneducated eyes, like mine. The prices for food there are spicy and there are not a lot of options. In hindsight I would have brought food from home. Take a light backpack because you need to wear it facing the front.

Lovely park in a nice forest setting where you can see all the different monkeys in what is very close to their natural habitat and some walking around freely

Loved the fact that all the monkeys were free and they could jumb from tree to tree or also come close to the visitors. However, it was forbidden to touch the monkeys.
There are many species, and all of them are just lovely. Definitely recommend it to check it out.

Lovely Primate park with lots for kids to do. The place was really nicely laid out and thought it was great how seamless it was walking from area to area.
